This page explains what happens with the details you give us when you book or ask about a tour or event with Good Ground Tours (also known as Good Ground Madeira) in Madeira, Portugal.

What we collect

• The details you type in our forms: your name, WhatsApp number, email address and the booking details you choose (date, number of guests).
• The time you sent the form, the page you used and the link parameters that show which ad or post brought you here (for example utm_source, utm_campaign, fbclid), so we know which of our ads work.
• Basic visit statistics through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel (see "Cookies and measurement" below).

Why we use it

• To contact you about your booking: confirmation, meeting point details and any change.
• To add you to a WhatsApp group with the guides and the other guests of your event, when you book.
• To understand and improve our advertising and our website.

The legal basis is your consent (the box you tick before sending the form) and our legitimate interest in running and promoting our tours. We do not sell your data and we do not send spam.

Who handles your data

We use trusted services to run the business: Netlify (website and form storage), Tally (booking form), Revolut (payments), Google (Analytics, email and spreadsheets), Meta (WhatsApp and advertising measurement). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we need them to handle your booking and for our business records, and then delete them or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete them earlier at any time.

Cookies and measurement

Our website uses Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to measure visits and to measure the results of our ads. Your browser also stores a small note on this device (local storage) after you send the contact form, so we do not ask you again when you come back.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to withdraw your consent, or to object to us contacting you. Just write to us at the email below. You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
